FEAR FACTORY's BURTON C. BELL: I Have Been Reinvented!
November 1, 2002THE WATCHERS, the new project featuring FEAR FACTORY frontman Burton C. Bell and longtime FEAR FACTORY collaborator/keyboardist John Bechdel, have updated their official web site with several studio photos and a personal message from Bell outlining his plans for the group.
"As of now, John Bechdel and myself are the band and producers for THE WATCHERS," the singer explained is his statement. "This is not a 'solo' project, because I am not doing this alone. This is a whole new incarnation for me. I like to think of it as 'reinventing' myself. I have been in central Pennsylvania since April working on the new sound that I am trying to extract from my head. Working in John's studio has been exceptionally inspirational, and I believe that the music that is already recorded will prove that. My goal in the next few weeks is to complete seven songs, to use them as a demo to recruit an unknown band to become THE WATCHERS as my band, because I will be playing live with this new project eventually. (I miss playing and singing for live shows) This will take time I sense…but not too much time.
"I have four songs completed for THE WATCHERS: 'Moonshine', 'Residual Presence', 'Evading', and 'Quintessence'. I am working on three songs at this moment. Very busy, very creative, very much inspired, and I am becoming anxious for people to hear my new incarnation. Exciting times are ahead I sense…"
